Lexmark Misses it’s Mark

We bought this printer on my birthday because my previous Lexmark (which I loved) stopped feeding paper. It was almost 5 years old and so I chalked it up to wear and tear. I was adamant about not wanting a HP because I found them slow, and Lexmarks had such beautiful pictures. My husband went to Best Buy and picked up the Lexmark 5470 and as soon as he got home I set it up.
It was beautiful. The white body, the sleek design. I loved the look of it. But then, I tried to print. No beating around the bush. No trying to sugar coat this. The Lexmark 5470 printer SUCKS. There is a huge problem with the paper feeder and it does not feed paper if you fill it. I did however get the printer to work by putting no more than four sheets of paper in the feeder.
The interesting part is that my previous Lexmark stopped feeding paper which is what made me by a new one. And, now, after finding that the Lexmark 5470 has a manufacturing flaw, I am starting to wonder if this is just a Lexmark problem. None of the Lexmark printers that we use at work feed the paper consistently either.
I give it a 1/2 star for the looks, but that’s it!
